Ajmer
120 km (78 miles) west of Jaipur, was founded by great Raja Prithviraj Chauhan in 7th century. Ajmer is known for Dargah of Khwaja Mu'in-ud-din Chisti (1142-1236) and Ana Sagar Lake. Ajmer is one of the most significant pilgrimate destination equally important for Hindus as well as Muslims. Especially famous is the Dargah Sharif-tomb of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.
Ajmer is very close to Pushkar (11 kms) which is significant for the famous fair held normally in the month of October/November. Pushkar, the abode of Lord Brahma, lying to its west with a temple and a picturesque lake. The Pushkar lake is a sacred spot for Hindus. During the month of Kartik (Oct./Nov.) ,devotes throng in large numbers here to take a dip in the sacred lake

Dargah of Khawaja Moin-Ud-Din- Chisti
This is the shrine of Khawaja Moin-ud-din-Chisti, a medieval sufi saint who came to India from Persia in 1192. Humayun completed the construction of the shrine and the gate was added by the Nizam of Hyderabad. The saint's tomb is in the center of the second court. The actual tomb is concealed in raised marble dome by a silver platform
Adhai Din Ka Jhopda
Initially it was a Sanskrit college that was destroyed by the Mohammad Ghauri and was converted into mosque in just 2 and half days and hence it was named after the situation. This is one of the very old mosque in India built in 1193 AD and is a great example of Indo- Muslim architecture
The Museum
Once the royal residence of Emperor Akbar ,the museum houses a rich repository of the Mughal and Rajput Armour and exquisite sculptures
